There’s more to a contract than pay.
Explore what nearby hospital workers negotiated, how benefits changed over time, and the evidence behind each provision.
Evidence includes newly negotiated and retained provisions. Historical terms may have changed in later contracts.

Select a topic to read actual provisions and see which hospitals have supporting evidence.
How to read this dashboard
Counts reflect hospitals with a matching provision in the selected records. Shared UC and Kaiser agreements can cover several hospitals. A mention shows evidence of a provision; it is not a score for its strength, proof that it was newly added, or confirmation that a historical term still applies. Retained benefits are included. Bargaining proposals and missing records are excluded. Separate non-RN units are labeled in each result.
Select a hospital’s bar or bubble to open its contract history. These charts use each hospital’s headline package; the period filter selects which supporting records are eligible. Figures cover different terms and may be scheduled percentage-point sums, averages, or minimum packages. Point sums are labeled “pts”; they differ from compounded growth.
Distance & published increase
Bubble size reflects the number of published wage events. Use the wage list beside this chart for keyboard access.
How base pay grows through the contract
The index starts at 100 before the first scheduled raise. Enter an hourly rate to see an illustration in dollars. Each raise builds on the previous one; this view excludes steps, premiums, and individual adjustments.
Enter a positive hourly rate with no more than two decimal places, or clear the field to use the index.
Compare the provisions
Select any documented cell to read its evidence. A dash means no matching evidence was found in the selected records.

Compare hospitals
Providence comparators and nearby competitors are separated by system, unit, evidence quality, and contract status.
Distances are approximate straight-line miles from Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange. A plotted percentage may be an ATB total, average, minimum, or national settlement; the hover text and cards identify which. “Not published” means the agreement is confirmed but a numeric schedule is not public.

Method & limitations
- Full agreed texts and applicable MOUs outrank summaries and secondary reporting.
- Across-the-board, grid, step, equity, and market adjustments are not interchangeable.
- Percentages are nominal and not adjusted for inflation, dues, or starting wage.
- Different unions, classifications, employers, and contract years limit direct comparisons.
